so today i went to publix with shannon, and we were in the produce aisle. i was observing some lucious nectarines that were placed in between two sides of peaches. i guess publix might be trying to confuse their customers. haha probably not. so they were $1.99/lb, and i decided that that was "cheap" enough, because nectarines are never cheap, no matter what. and they just happen to be my favorite fruit. so i look at the nectarines, and i says to myself, i says, "man, these nectarines should be cheaper, because they're about to rot."
some kid, (college-aged), comes and walks up to the peaches. he examines the peach he picks up, and then looks at me and asks, " do you know anything about peaches? 'cause, like, i want to be able to either eat one today or tomorrow, and i can't really tell when they're ready."
i had to be honest with the lad, so i told him, "to be honest, i don't know much about peaches, because clearly nectarines are far better than peaches."
he looks around a little more and then says, "nevermind," and walks away.
shannon claims that i scared him either/or he was easily swayed by my opinion and just gave up. if that's so, he's weak.

in other happenings, amy, shannon, and i were talking while eating dinner, about how guys are just dumb. they may be book smart, but for the most part, possess no common sense. for example, shannon told us that one of her guy friends actually asked her, while buying milk, "which milk is best for eating with cereal?"
shannon:"what do you mean?"
he replies, "well what percent milk goes in cereal?"
shannon:" well that all depends on your preference- what kind of milk do you like best?"
dumb kid: "well isn't there a percentage milk for different things that you eat?"
wow. some kids did not absorb much from their mothers.

Como naufragan mis miedos
si navego en tu mirada
como alertas mis sentidos
con tu voz enamorada
Con tu sonrisa de niña
como me mueves el alma
como me quitas el sueño
como me robas la calma.
