I've recently been turned on to Nightwish by Brian G.
They have a kick ass rendition of Phantom of the Opera and quite a few other wicked songs.
I'm not generally a fan of metal.  i like to stick to the relative safety of Marilyn Manson, Tool & Nine Inch Nails... but I did fall in love with a Hot Topic Album, quite some time back.
