Hey all, I just got the GIMP last night, which image manipulation software. It's exactly like Photoshop (or so I've heard), except that it's free.
Anyway, I've been figuring it out myself, and I've already made a few icons. I'm super new, as these are the first I've ever made, but I think they're ok. I can't for the life of me figure out how to upload text though. Oh well.
I know there are quite a few veteran icon makers on my flist, so, um, pointers are cool. & don't laugh. Too hard.

I think you can guess which one is my favorite ^__^. And, uh, if for any reason anyone actually wants one of these, um, let me know & credit me? I'm new at this. Except you can't have #6! Well, I guess you can, if you ask nicely.
