"4 years of propoganda goes a long way when it comes to votes. Even Hitler got himself elected."

I cannot help but feel somewhat disappointed and disheartened, because it seems like my vote did not count in anything that I voted for. I am sure many are feeling that way, given that almost half of America feels that there are problems with the current administration as was shown in the numbers. However, it seems to me that while we are sad, complaining about this really is not going to do a damn thing. Fighting with each other won't either. We basically need to deal with it and move on. In four years, Bush will screw up our country a lot more, but hopefully then we can get a democrat in to fix it. For now, there is nothing we can do but try to get more dems in in 2006. Kerry really had to concede for a few reasons:

1. To retain his dignity - by the end of Gore's fight in 2000, he had no dignity left. Kerry allowed himself that

2. If Kerry was to fight and fight and had taken OH, he would have been in the position Bush was in in 2000. He would not have won the popular vote, no matter what. His Presidency would have been seen as illegitimate, just like Bush's was.

I think Kerry made a good decision, both for himself and his career. After all, he is still a senator. He will still have to deal with the repercussions of this election.

Proving he's dignified, statesmanly, and sincere John Kerry has just finished his moving concession speech. Bush has a lot to live up to with his victory speech. If he comes on with that fake humility bullshit I will surely kill myself.
