On top of all the things he'd gotten specifically for people he knew, he'd also bought a number of backup presents for people he remembered having taken care of him while he was a kid, but hadn't been able to locate since he'd changed back. These default gifts were assortments of holiday candies and chocolates.
X had already handed out presents to Aya and Ginta, as well as Rock, Roll, Blues, and their Dr. Light. Now he just needed to hand out the rest of the presents.
Zero was getting an engine upgrade for his ride chaser. X had also bought him an unadorned, silver men's bracelet from a mage-smith in the Nexus who had enchanted it with a True Sight spell. It would let him see through disguises, illusions, and shape-shifts.
Alia's gift had taken a bit of thought. He'd finally settled on getting her a carved quartz crystal figurine of a Valkyrie that she'd mentioned was pretty when they'd walked past the store window several months ago. The statue was about eight inches tall with a base carved to look like clouds. This made it look as if the leaping horse the winged Valkyrie was riding was flying.
For Axl, X had gotten another of the True Sight enspelled bracelets. He'd also bought him two new Virtual Reality videogames. A popular first-person shooter, and an action/adventure game.
Iris was getting an addition to her indoor garden this year. X had gotten six Iris ensata, 'Angel Mountain' cultivar plants for her. It was a breed of Japanese iris that had died out after the Eurasia crash.
Pallette was getting two books on Celtic and Gaelic myths and legends.
Douglas was receiving a gift basket of assorted coffee blends and a new, jumbo-sized, self-stirring, gravitic mug. The gravitic mugs used a miniature gravity-manipulation field inside the mug to stir the contents without using a spoon.
For Leviathan, X had bought a holo-book about the world's oceans and oceanic species. While you read the book, the hologram generator would project miniature images of the creatures you were reading about into the air above the electronic book.
Even though he hadn't seen them for a while, X had gotten Mega and his brother Pitch presents as well. For Mega, X bought a game console and four best seller games for it - an rpg, a first-person shooter, a racing game, and a platformer. For Pitch, X bought a gift card for a month of free ice cream from an ice cream parlor in Reality Vanish, near Seaside.
For the X that lived and worked with the Hunters in RV, X bought a gift basket with an assortment of gourmet coffees, teas, and cookies.
The Axl in RV that was sharing headspace with Lumine was getting a slender, silver, solid-circle bracelet with a good luck spell on it, and a gift basket assortment of Christmas cookies and candies. The bracelet had also been made by the mage-smith in the Nexus. X figured Lumine would share the gifts with Axl.
The one Zero that X knew was with the RV Hunters was also getting a gift basket assortment of candies, chocolates, and cookies.
