My husband and I want to have kids in the future, but for now feel like concentrating on each other is the way to go. I have some gyno issues and can no longer take pills, but I have to be on some sort of hormone because of my endometriosis. I basically have to choose between the Implanon (implant in your arm) or a Mirena (IUD).
I figure since this is a community on married life, and contraception plays a role in many peoples' marriages, that I'd ask here.
If any of you have experience with either of these, I'd love to hear about it (good or bad). Thanks!
ETA: Wow! Thanks for all the input.
I should have mentioned: the ring, the patch, and the shot are NOT options for me (for various reasons, some of which are the reasons I can no longer take pills). I will go hook up with
iud_divas and see what I can learn.
