The truth is, that I kept that other journal mostly for people that I knew in person and some pointless communities that I was never really a part of. You (or we) Sidekicks are a hard bunch to take in small doses, do you know what I mean? My internet life was overtaking my real life, as it has done in the past, and things were getting too complicated. Hence, break, as you said. It's hard to have such great friends that I can't run to when I've got a serious crisis at anytime of the night, because you aren't all online all the time. And, as a result of having as many great friends online that I had, I seem to not make as many friends outside of a very small group. Right now and back in January, I could count the number of people in my offline life that I call friends...well, on two fingers (minus my mom and sister). And my online friends I could not even begin to name at the time, there were so many.
There is a certain point where even good things, really, really good things are too much, as I'm sure you know.
I know it must have seemed as though I was deceiving you when you guys found out I had a new journal (which I bet was you that found out...you always know...or maybe Ben, since I was a schmuck at the end). Perhaps I was, but the communication was not there regardless of whether I had a livejournal or not.
Anyway, it's all old hat, the explaining.
I had to look that up, "old hat," because I thought maybe I'd made it up. William Shatner as Capt. Kirk said it first on Star Trek 37 years or so ago. I thought that was interesting.
And I know you're sekritlee lying aboat sekrit loathing.
And I told Siobhan earlier that I'll keep up so long as things aren't entirely awkward with a few people. But, as I said, if people want to unfriend me, go for it. I might be a little miffed for a bit, but really, what can I do?
Atleast, Sidekicks until JKR pulls another goofy book. If it gets much differenter...We might all be scared away...
