Heres what swishes and liquifies my mind much like the brain hook used in egyptian mummifuckation. If luke skywalker was born only to fulfill a prophecy, does he really have free will?
Yoda tells luke that "you must face vader a second time it is your destiny" This tends to raise particularly interesting philosophical questions concerning freedom and moral responsibility.
In our galaxy most religious believers (particularly jews, baptists, and islamo-facists) conceive god as omnisicient and understand god's infinite knowledge, this generally perceived as infallible.
If god knows from all to eternity that i would be writing this to you now, it might seem that there's no way it could be false that i am, in fact, writing this out to you now. When i was laying in bed this morning abou 30 minutes ago wondering whether i should get up and greet the day or just sleep for about 4 more hours, the big guy already knew what i was going to do. In retrospect, that would have been an awesome choice, the bed is calling me. But god already knew what i was going to choose and, since god cant be wrong, it seems i couldnt have chosen to sleep. Was i free in my choice?

When the emperor is about to kill luke in episode six, Vader must watch his son being tortured in front of him and this pushes him to make a very important choice(?) If it was a prophecy that he would destroy the sith, at that moment could he have (of his own free will) let luke get sizzled by Palpatine "the roaster" Smith (no one has ever seen palpatines drivers license, his last name remains a mystery)

Do we really have free will?
