(no subject)
Oh man, my sleep schedule is so fucked up. Just woke up like an hour ago. good thing I had no work today. but. Work till 10:30 tomorrow evening then starting 11:30 wednesday morning. and I have to be on my game, as I am training 2 of the newbies from last week's orientation. And it will be busier than average (though nowhere near as busy as saturday (or even as busy as yesterday - considerably slower than saturday, but still busy enough to make like $10 commission) which always makes training scarier and more difficult.
But there is good news. All my evening hours add up. to a lot. So my paychecks have been a fair amount bigger this month. So I decided to reward myself. With the hard cover of Y the Last Man which was on sale if preordered. Turned out Ex Machina was the same price so I ordered both. And the Ex Machina shipped today, so it'll be here super soon (well not here so much as V's parents' place which is were I shipped it to. mail carriers never seem to actually deliver packages to apartments, just little pick up slips sending us to the post office which is never open when we need it to be). Even though I've read all the issues already (I am behind Vicky, so the last issue I've read is actually the last one in the hardcover edition) I am still super excited. it's a really nicely put together book, and god forbid Vicky and I ever 'divorce' I would eventually need my own copy anyway (but we cannot actually ever divorce, the custody battle over the autograph collection alone would be brutal, let alone dvds and books. Nope, she's stuck with me for life.) I know that money is still going to be tight for a bit, but I feel like I deserve these books, which will honestly make me happier (sad as that may be) and I have been doing my best to help pay off Vicky's dept at least half of which is my vet bills. Plus I have a higher pay grade for my shifts the rest of this week, and for any training I do next week when the other newb is back from vacation.
