'why sleep is important' AKA 'when evil pencils attack'
got the weirdest thing from mother for hanukkah, as a stocking stuffer/ extra type thing; rubber pencils that are all bendy. As I accidentally stayed up all night reading Daniel/Vala porn, only going to sleep around one, I had just woken up at 5 when we opened our presents so I was pretty groggy. I saw the stripey, colourful pencils and thought 'straws? pixie stix? huh?' then Mother handed me one, and I was like 'rubberized to keep my hands nice, cool' then, it bent in my hand, and I freaked the hell out. I spent like 15 minutes (at least) wiggling them around, watching the colours swirl, making comments like 'they bend!' 'the pencils are possessed!' 'what are they!?' and so on. Even now, much more awake, They kinda creep me out, with the bending at your every touch. I can't decide if I love them or hate them; they're either the coolest thing I've ever seen, or the dumbest, I have yet to decide.
