coming out of the dark
after battling ungodly traffic (why in the hell doesn't anyone in the columbus metro area understand the concept of a 4 way stop???) i made it home this evening to a house with lights and a couple of less than happy kitties. i wussed out and had cathy and lacey pick me up to hang out at steve's place where there was beer drinking and 80's trivial pursuit (closest thing i've had to a hurricane party in years!)and spent the night over at miles' place since the ghetto didn't lose power. work had power, but the time on all the work stations was 6 hrs ahead, and rebooting wasn't doing the trick. made things interesting, to say the least. but all in all, i got lucky. no damage at all and my power was out for probably 24 hrs. hope everyone else is getting back to normal.
picked up half of my gothcoming stuff from the post office today after work. so far, so really freaking good! i'm starting to get pretty jazzed about this whole thing! things are falling into place on several levels. starting to be a happier camper.
p.s. don't let me hibernate this winter if anyone can help it.
