Sort of a jdorama update

Happy Easter! ;)
After some dragging I finished watching Long Love Letter and then watched the Byakkotai special(both parts), which means I just ran out of subtitled dramas starring Yamapi. Darn. Well... there's Proposal Daisakusen coming up (and I possible others if they're subtitled or I learn Japanese or something XD).
Both turned out to be a little different than I expected, and both made me cry (darn it, I want to watch something happier now!) Although Byakkotai made me laugh at times too. ;)

Already the first episode of LLL had me go "WTH?" and I had very similar feeling at the end too. ;) I'm not quite sure how it ended... was it supposed to be interpreted, or what? (or is this the "two futures" theory like in DragonBall XD).
And finally romance! And a couple I actually like! Or two couples. ;) Not that I specifically yearn for it, but I really liked how the romantic relationships were portrayed in this drama.

I adored Asami! He was such and awesome character, and everyone in the series loved him too. XD I was happy to recognise Yosuke Kubozuka from Ikebukuro West Gate Park... even though the characters differed a lot from each other personality and looks wise. ;)
Also it was interesting to watch this after Lunch Queen, with five actors/actress starring in both series and three in important roles... that had actually some aspects common.
I liked the fact that Yamapi's and Takayuki Yamada's characters were best friends in both series. ;)

I only watched Byakkotai, because of the obvious reason, and wasn't disappointed in that especially since I got to see some skin, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. ;) It was touching (well I did shed tears for a reason) and surprisingly attention-grabbing. And it even featured some kick-ass women among the brave men (and boys). ;)

Mineji and Kuma. ;) I really liked these two. And as one can see, they shared a very important relationship to have a statue of them both. ;)

And my other favourite relationships. Shintaro and Yuusuke staring at the portraits of their ancestors and the rest of the Byakkotai.
And the three close friends Mineji, Matahachi and Ginzaburou (all portrayed by guys from JE ;) )... along with Sayoko, who is cool enough to be included. XD As for romantic relationships I definitely liked Ginzaburou&Sayoko. ;)

And I even watched something to with anime this week. ;) The animated film, Brave Story. I had been planning to watch for sometime, but hadn't got down to it.
A nice, entertaining and sweet story... even though it was just a little too predictable. ;)

anime, jdorama
