For anyone wondering about the fate of the cute little kitten, I just got this from my friend:
The kitten found a nice home this morning. I placed an ad in the free press and I've had about 6 calls since 8:30am. The kitten went to a loving family with a little girl who my mom said was very gentle with the kitten.
