I usually wake up at 6:30.
6:18 this morning, Dorian wakes me up. I'm hoping he just wanted to get into bed but couldn't fit because of the way my legs were, so I rearrage a bit, and he gets into bed. I'm glad because he just wanted to cuddle and I could doze for another 12 minutes. Then Bailey decides she's unhappy with this new arrangement and gets off the bed and walks around the room for a minute. Zak, in the meantime, is awake and likes to stand on my nightstand, reach as far up on the wall as she can, and then drag her nails down. Which sounds exactly like you'd expect it would. So I swat at her feet, and she stops. Bailey then decides she wants to be where Dorian is, so she comes and stands next to the bed and puts her head on my leg and stares at him. When this doesn't work, she gets in the bed and stands over him. So Dorian moves, and Bailey takes his spot between my legs. She stays there for about a minute, then decides that she'd like to try a new spot. The spot between my upper body and the edge of the bed. Where she barely fits, and I have to move my left arm up over my head. Zak takes this as a "come here and let me love on you" gesture and sits on my pillow by my head purring loudly. When I don't immediately lavish attention, she paws at my arm, then sticks her head in my hand. As I'm laying there with one dog mushed up against me and a kitten head in my hand, Dorian thinks "Actually I think I would like to go outside now..." and starts pawing at my side of the bed. It was 6:26. They're evil. All three of them.
