Worst. Year. Ever. Well, if it continues this way. But I'm all up for 2015 to proving me wrong!

The thing is that I'm still reading, but there isn't that sense of accomplishment, like "add another one to the list" (yes, I keep lists of all the books I read in any given year), it's just a sliiightly different version of all the other fics, with varying degrees of quality, AND I JUST CAN'T STOP. And any book I try to read just leaves me cold. Like, I read the first book of the Raven Boys, the one everyone's raving about, and I wasn't into it at all. I couldn't even bring myself to pick up book 2 because I feel like I'm just not in the right headspace to give it the attention it deserves.

I love the NARS velvet lip pencil texture, but I'm a bit meh on all the other colors. Never Say Never (which I associate with the James Bond-ish movie because I am just that old) is the perfect cool-toned pink/purple that doesn't make your teeth look more yellow. (My father, the dentist, is very much against teeth bleaching, so I try to follow his advice, leaving me always looking for cool-toned lipsticks that don't look cartoonish. Not the easiest.) Also, I wish Sephora did those kinds of things in Sweden, but honestly, they're not that great. Their selection is pretty pitiful. Both MAC and Urban Decay are exclusive to another make-up chain and they don't even bring in stuff like Hourglass or Tarte - I have to buy all that stuff from Britain/eBay.

They have another lipstick that converts from blue to a dusky pink (Hello Sailor) and I've been eyeing it for a while because I think it's pretty cool, but the color is leaving me shrugging - I think I prefer Jean Queen - but Frog Prince is right up my alley. And not only because it's the VM colors!

I don't own Medieval, but I have tried swatching it on my hand and if it helps, it's so sheer (as are most Lipstick Queen lipsticks) that the color comes out like a very nice, warmish pink. You can build it up, of course, but it's nowhere near the color in the tube.

I have Frog Prince now! And while it's a lovely, coolish pink, it's not as fuchsia as I'd like. I'm thinking it might get better in the summer, when my cracked lips are in better shape, because it tends to look more like the color I want in the patches on my lips where the skin has peeled off.
