A couple of years ago, on the first day of winter, we had people in Stockholm who were stuck in traffic for seven hours (black ice was the culprit if I remember correctly). I thought that was bad, but this NINE DAY traffic jam has to take the cake. Holy crap!

The only shows I'm keeping up to date with are reality shows. I may get spoiled for True ( Read more... )

# My biggest pet peeve is noisy chewing. To such a degree that all my friends are hyper aware when they're chewing gum around me. I'm trying to get over it, I honestly am, but UGH, I find the noise So. Disgusting I can't even... *shudders*

I am so with you on this one! I have issues being around other people when they're eating. I try to deal with it. I tend to talk a lot, so I can't hear them, and I don't look directly at people, so I can try to pretend noises aren't related to them. I cannot be anywhere near my brother when he eats, because it's just so disgusting!

Ugh, isn't it just the worst?! I don't understand why people can't just close their mouths like they're taught when they're, like, FIVE. Why is this so hard?

It's just so gross! A girl I was recently staying with chewed with her mouth open and made horrible horrible noises. It made me cringe. And she wondered why I never was hungry...

My parents have a friend who I can't stand to sit at the same table with. Not only does he chew with his mouth open, he eats like a chipmunk, so it's like twice the disgusting chewing noises! Anytime they invite me and I hear he's coming I try to get out of it.

(I'm shuddering just from our comments.)

I love Tiffany too! I was all for Angelo and Ed at the beginning, but Tiffany is always so genuinely excited when she wins it's been the best part of this season.

And yeah I totally get you about Kdrama space on my harddrive. I've mostly filled up a couple of 500gb ones with dramas already and only have 40gb left, and I'm deathly afraid I'll have to delete some. Suppose I could get a 1tb one and solve that problem. Just rather not spend the money to.

See, I never cared for Ed. I always thought he was very mediocre, even though I've since changed my mind about that a bit. His food was just completely forgettable. Still is, actually. Tiffany's, on the other hand, always seems so lush and rich with flavors.

I do have some dramas I could delete with no regrets (Goong S, anyone?), but for the most part, I like having the ability to rewatch (I've already done three rewatches and I'm just three months into this thing), and redownloading will be a bit of a pain, I'm almost positive.

Yeah, that shut up comment was sweet. I also liked the editing when she went on and on about who had to be in the top and who was most definitely in the bottom and then cut to the judges feeling the exact opposite.

I think I associate late 70s/early 80s with ABBA a lot, and that's totally the era she's copying. Every. Single. Challenge.

Oh, I get what you mean about that episode, I could hardly stand it. (Even though fake noisy chewing usually doesn't bug me as much because it's just too exaggerated to feel real.)

Alex is GONE GONE GONE.

YES. Gretchen is ABBA fixated! I didn't realie it before! I hate her.

I read more since I got my Kindle than I did before, no question. Which is a little bit scary :D

THANK GOD. I was so afraid I'd just wished for it so much that I'd imagined the whole thing.

Gretchen's ABBA fixation, or at least her early 80s "esthetic", is quite blatant.

I'm so happy to be reading more. Not that I ever stopped reading, it's just that instead of books I was reading fanfic, and even though there is undoubtedly some very good fanfic out there, it shouldn't completely replace books. Which is pretty much what happened to me for eight years straight (I read an average of about a book a month during that time, which is just SAD).

Fanfic can hook you in.

Do you read in English or Swedish?

I does! And for a good reason. It's just so easy to read fanfic while books take more commitment, more investment in the story and the characters. But they can be more fulfilling because of it.

I mostly read in English because I prefer to read in the original language and most authors I read are English-speaking. The only Swedish books I've read lately are Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc). Have you read them?

I don't really know why but this seasons PR kinda annoys the hell out of me. Esp. Gretchen. I just want her to shut up.

Since June of this year, when I first got into Kdramas, I've downloaded 500 GB of dramas.

Thats why I stream them so I don't know stuff like that lol

You know why it annoys me? There's no one to root for. There's no one whose talent makes me put up with their crap, and the people who are nice and funny are often kinda bad designers.

Streaming sites seem to be mostly for US/Canada, and I really kinda don't like to stream, I much prefer the permanency of keeping the file (I think this is why I buy so many DVDs - then they're mine FOREVER). Because what if all sites are taken offline and I neeeeed to rewatch Coffee Prince all of a sudden? What a horrifying scenario! ;-)
