This week I have watched:

• 30 Rock 1x01-1x07.
  I'm amazed at how much time hasn't lessened my dislike of Tracey. If he would just go away I'd enjoy this show so much more.
• Bones 3x01
• Burn Notice 1x01-1x04
  I'm mainlining these like there's no tomorrow. I love it! The show in general and Jeffrey Donovan in particular. And I'm simultaneously happy that I waited to watch so I could marathon it, and sad that it'll be over so quickly for me.
• Cane 1x01
  I really didn't enjoy it one little bit. Not even seeing VM and Rome alums made me care in the slightest. I sort of can't believe how a straight-up soap like this ever made it to air, but whatever, I certainly won't be watching.
• Daily Show & Colbert Report x3 (About to be x4)
• ER 4x01-4x10
• Eureka 2x12
  I've been enjoying the middle episodes quite a lot, especially as they seem to be moving away from Jack/Allison, and Matt Frewer was oh-so-very absent (thank god!).
  
  However, these last few episodes have made me care less again. First with Matt's reappearance (WHYYYYYY?!!! Also, notice how I can't even be bothered to remember his character's name?), and then with Jack & Zoe's relationship weirdness (does anyone else think she's regressing and becoming too princessy lately?) and Allison and Stark's...whatever they're doing. Beverly is right, good intentions will lead you down the dark path every time.
  
  Although, Jack and Jo kissing last time was highly enjoyable for a borderline-sometime-in-the-future 'shipper like myself.
• Heroes 2x01
  This show and Ugly Betty serve about the same purpose for me - they're fun distractions for about 40 minutes, and I don't think too much about them after they're over. I read a bunch of reaction posts on Tuesday, and I found myself feeling so removed from it all because I just didn't care all that much. If someone thought something sucked, I mostly found myself agreeing that yes, it did indeed suck, and yet, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the episode.
• HIMYM 3x01
  Like I told Steph, I didn't recognize Mandy Moore at first, so when Ted called her a 12 I thought it was a bad joke. I mean, she looked like a slightly dumpy white trash hillbilly, and just because she's Mandy Moore she's a 12? If they'd actually cast someone in that role who was a believable 12 I would have enjoyed it that much more.
  
  However, the stunt casting was almost completely forgiven after the fact when Laura linked me to this article. Hahahahahahahaha!
  
  That and the wonder that was a butterfly flying out of Ted's ass made this episode a solid 10 for me (out of 12, naturally).

• Journeyman 1x01
  This was sort of like Quantum Leap if it had been completely devoid of humor. However, I'm slightly intrigued with the characters and what the heck happened that made him marry his brother's ex-girlfriend, so I'm going to stick with it for a few episodes.
  
  I'm not too thrilled about KM's accent, though. At first it sounded like he was attempting something Irish.
• My Name is Earl 3x01-3x02
• Office 4x01
  For a really long time now I've had this 'ship capspam in my head. It's sort of a list of my 'ship kinks and which couples fit into what category, and so far Jim and Pam have only fit into one (guy head over heels in love with girl), but until now that's been it.
  
  Now, I don't think I've ever made it a secret how much I love secret relationships (pretty much ALL my 'ships have had one to some extent - Buffy/Spike, Logan/Veronica, Pacey/Joey, Monica/Chandler, Jackie/Hyde, Mulder/Scully (the mother of all secret relationships. So secret not even the writers knew!), and heck, even John/Aeryn, Josh/Donna and Elizabeth/Darcy have had secret relationships to some extent. It's my one fool-proof kink and now my Office 'ship has joined the club! Yayness!
  
  In my book, this is about the best thing that could happen. Previously, I've advocated a relationship that's being kinda sorta kept from the viewers as well (sort of like how it was early on in the episode), but that's been mostly because as soon as writers get a couple settled they seem to start thinking up ways to break them up. Considering how much they did everything right in this episode, I'm going to hope that Steph is right, and that this writing team gets the happy relationship right.
  
  I'm trying to ignore Jan as much as possible, just waiting for the REAL Jan to reemerge. You know, the non-crazy, Michael-hating, sane, take-charge boss we had for the first two seasons. Where did she go?
  
  I saw some people on my flist complaining that there was too much Michael, but I think I've learned to tune him out because I hardly remembered any Michael scenes that didn't involve hating on Toby (and I love those!).
  
  As for Dwight and Angela, I find myself very much not caring if they are broken up for good, but being slightly tickled by the notion of an Angela with more free time on her hands becoming to Jim/Pam sort of what Pam was to Angela/Dwight for about a year. A touchstone, someone in the office who will keep their secret (even though the documentary crew are providing that service to some extent).
  
  Also, I'm sort of expecting a complete emotional breakdown from Dwight. Probably because Dwight would be the first person to say he doesn't believe in that mumbo-jumbo, so naturally it needs to happen to him, right?
  
  I'm really hoping for more of douchebag!Ryan, like the one from the "what I did on my summer vacation" promo. Petty, mean and gloaty, that's how I want to see him. You know, until he makes that HUGE mistake that's just lurking around the corner, which will cause his immediate demotion and return (with his tail between his legs) to Scranton.
• Tim Gunn's Guide to Style 1x04
  While I really really don't enjoy the oh-so-very-staged "spontaneous" moments, I still enjoy it enough to keep watching. I just usually ignore the first five minutes when Veronica calls to "surprise" them (even though they've been taking pictures of themselves for a week in anticipation of getting that very call).
• Top Chef 3x13
  Before Tre left I wasn't too sure I wanted him to win, but everything I've seen since then has made me pretty sure that NO ONE left deserves to be Top Chef.
  
  The whole thing about how this year's chefs are so much better than the previous years and that's why there are three in the finale is such a CROCK! Not to mention insulting to the chefs who came before them.
  
  If the judges weren't desperate to have a woman reach the finale (and preferrably win), I'm pretty sure Casey would have been out with that last dish of hers.
  
  Of the last few chefs, the only one I liked enough to want to win was CJ, but it seemed pretty obvious that his skills just weren't up to snuff. This last episode was the first time I saw Dale as an actual contender. I don't think I'd mind it if he won.
  
  Just please don't let Hung win. That whole spiel about how he cooks with love and soul? Really? After a whole season of you talking about technique and skill we're suddenly supposed to think you care? Sorry, not buying it.


• Ugly Betty 2x01
• Weeds 3x06-3x07
  I'm glad U-Turn's dead, I hated that entire storyline. However, it made me like Nancy just a tiny bit again, so I guess some good came out of it. And Conrad, who I very much have not liked this season, redeemed himself by shooting Marvin in the ass.
  
  So if they can just do something good with these remaining episodes I might actually consider sticking around for next season. You know, if there is a next season.
