Bits and bobs

My mother called me earlier and right after I hung up I realized it was my parents' wedding anniversary. They're not big on celebrations (and, in fact, forget it more often than not) so I'm not too bothered. I make a note to call her when I've finished Conan ( Read more... )

Anniversaries are strange like that. Glad you figured something out with your parents.

As for FNL--I'm glad you're keep watching, even if you aren't in love with the show. Smash could use some more fans, but whatever.

I think their anniversary is extra forgettable because it's such a random date, not at all the usual time for a wedding anniversary.

FNL really doesn't work as well for me as it does for others, but once I started thinking of it as a fandom show, things went much more smoothly. I do wonder if it doesn't benefit from marathoning, though, at least for me.

Um, STOPPED thinking of it as a fandom show.

Okay, that's it, off to bed with me!

You totally made me remember that my order of FNL is coming probably tomorrow or on wednesday.
:P

What do you work with??? I totally remembered that I have haven't asked you that before. ;)

Now I'm gonna' switch to swedish:

Where did you order it from, if I may ask? I love AxelMusic, but their recent rash of back-ordered items (ALL the DVDs I ordered back in June/July didn't reach me until at least a week after the US release date, when before I've always gotten them a week early) has me worried.

What do you work with???
I'm a translator, mostly for TV (TV4 in particular).

I order it from AxelMusic, it was SO cheap that I couldn't resist.
I payed 234(SEK) for it.
Next up I think I will buy either Heroes s1 or Dexter and The Black Donnellys.

Cool work!

Discshop har ju en del grejer man kan beställa....typ Dead like me s1 för 199:- som var mitt senaste inköp. :P

Heh, I think I paid about 40 for FNL. (But that was because I had a voucher from a movie I'd canceled.)

Wow, 40 years?! That's totally amazing. My parents got divorced after 27.

It is kind of amazing. I never did understand why a couple would stay together for so long before divorcing. But then again, I've never been married...

Yeah, it struck me as odd too. I think my dad just finally went off the deep end. He told us he was going on a business trip to North Carolina and never came back. Never went to North Carolina either.

But hey, 40 years! Way to go!
