SLYTHERIN HOUSE MEETING

Oct 12, 2006 22:08

Riley looked on at the gathered Slytherin house, all anxiously (well, as anxious as Slytherins got..) waiting for their Headmistress to arrive. He'd purposely pulled his chair to the front of the the group, turning it to face them. This made Riley feel just a bit superior to the lot, and he liked that ( Read more... )

"Very glad to see that you've all made it to this little meeting I've called," she said unnecessarily. The students were all coerced out of their rooms, even those who attempted to straggle behind ( ... )

Tracey smiled at Headmistress Blackmore when she came in, knowing already what this little chat would be about. Wasn't it obvious? Tracey had heard the rumors- she had found out about the party. She already knew Blackmore's thoughts on drinking and parties...

She listened, finding herself actually admiring the woman, even though most of the students despised her. She had half a mind to tell the headmistress that she hadn't been at the party... she really didn't want Marion Blackmore thinking badly of her.

Tracey's eyes widened when Blackmore was done talking. A party? To celebrate? Amazing!

"Wow..." she muttered to Cessy, who was sitting close by. "That's so cool!"

After five years of suffering under the hand of Dumbledore, it was nearly a relief to have Blackmore ruling over the school. She stared back at the Headmistress as the woman's eyes passed over her, and sat steadily in her chair. She knew what she did, but did she feel sorry? Well.. did Cecilia ever really, truly feel sorry? As the woman talked on, she nodded her head slightly, letting the woman know she understood.

As Tracey turned to her, however, she couldn't help but smirk as she whispered, "A little hypocritical, though, isn't it?"

Ian strolled into the common room five minutes late, apple in hand.

"What'd I miss?" he nudged Cessy's side as he whispered with a full mouth.

"Who cares? I think she's awesome," Tracey said with a smile as she shrugged her shoulders.

"She'll probably be there, though."

"You missed a bit," Cecilia informed her friend. "Seems like your little idea got the lot of us in trouble...though I'm not really surprised."

She finished her statement with a wink before looking back to Tracey, a blank expression on her face.

"She's good enough," she replied. "Anyone is better that old Dumbledore."

"Aw, well," he began, looking up at the headmistress with a grin, "she's probably just jealous she wasn't invited."

"That certainly could be it," Cecilia mused. "In fact, she said we ought to have a celebration because of that magnificent win we had over those Gryffindors."

She coughed slightly. She felt as if she was getting a cold.

"I don't doubt that she'll be there."

"You're right... is it hypocritical. Not that I'm complaining. Any excuse for a party that I'll be allowed to go to is fine in my book," Tracey said.

Tracey turned her attention to Ian then.

"What happened at the party? Sorry I couldn't come. You have to tell me all about it now."

"I'm not entirely sure I'm the person to give you a recap," he said with a smirk. "I don't exactly remember much of anything."

After a small pause, the boy genuinely smiled to himself.

"Devon came, though."

"Ahhh... those used to be fun times," Tracey said, her eyes glazing over as she remember all of the parties she went to in the past.

"Who's Devon?"
