So I spent my evening at the International Student Welcome Party at HitParade Club. The band sang Elvis and The Beach Boys with heavy Japanese accents, and I taught Mongolian and Vietnamese girls how to dance "The Twist" and the "Monkey." They kept asking me where I learned to dance so well. I blame it entirely on Gunnar!

Tomorrow we're having a tea ceremony. I'm going to try to do Day in the Life. =D

I can't beleive it's only been three weeks so far. It seems like a lot longer! In the remaining weeks I plan to do more travelling. This weekend is my homesstay dinner, next weekend is the group trip to Nagasaki, and then I wan to go to Okinawa and Kyoto before I have to go back to Texas for RA training. Everyone else is going to Tokyo for a week before going back to the States. Dratted training. I swear I'm going to be sooooo nice to international students from now on.

Kyoto is the old captial of Japan before it was moved to Tokyo, and is supposed to have some of the coolest architecture and the old palace. Okinawa is like the Hawwaii of Japan, and immersed in so much moderish history...If I book my flight and hotel through APU I can go for two days and stay in a five star hotel for only $300! That just means I have to make my dinner every day for a few weeks. Ah well, I already have a few people who've promised to teach me to make food from their home countries. It can't be that hard, right?
