So, yay for helping lost people, meeting new people, rice, magic goats, shopping and Halloween Parties. All right, I know it's been a while. But here's the weekend report. Friday I went to class and was let out twenty minutes early because that prof is AWESOME! And then I took a nice nap until I had to go to a meeting for the club I'm in (see last post if you're confused). We all half dressed up which, for no apparent reason, makes playing random games in a field ten times more fun. And afterward, we all went and got some dinner and then a bunch of us went to this French play, which was exciting despite the fact that half of us didn't know what the heck was being said. (some of them had to go for extra credit in their French class) But it was fun, anyway. Then on Saturday I woke up and did some reading until Jessica called to let me know she was in Kalamazoo to pick me up. But then, about fiveteen minutes later, she called and said she was lost and we spent probably over twenty minutes trying to figure out where she was and how to get her to where I was. (another reason it sucks not to have a car!). But eventually she got here and we headed back to Jackson for after calling Fran a bunch of times. Later we went and got Chinese and I ate three plates of rice and was made fun of by her and her friend Gary (I think that was his name) the rest of the evening and the rest of the weekend. (I happen to really like rice, okay!) And then we went back to her place and I spent the night. The next day (sunday) we went shopping for most of the day, intending to find her a halloween costume, even though we doddled a lot. But we did stumble across a Mary Mother of Jesus Action Figure and a crazy YMCA bus that sings in the dollar store. Finally, after visiting Target, she got a Magnum P.I costume (complete with wig, mustache and hat that says "Magnum P.I."), and we headed for Fran's place. We got there about an hour early (sorry) and played a rousing game of Clue (Miss Scarlet won) and then watched the movie Clue. We all talked a little and I got to meet some interesting new people as well as people I already know but haven't seen in a long time. After about ten games of "Mafia" we decided to call it a night so that we could all get some sleep for class/work, etc. in the morning. All in all, it was a REALLY GREAT weekend. And I have nothing more to say...So
Peace and much love,
B.C.
