I definitely don't despise you and the making-me-happy list is one of the favourite posts on the intranet and the combination of trainspotting and elizabethtown amuses me and yesterday i had a conversation with sean decorre about this..and that's weird. and finally, it's really quite unfortunate that every time i sit down to write one of these comments i completely forget what I'm trying to say
im glad you like my list i wish sean decorey liked me:( were you discussing living life to the fullest, specifically? what did he say? (i have this weird secret fascination with sean's mind lol)
heh, I'm pretty sure he's not a big fan of mine, but we're paired up with drama and just listening to him talk kind of made my day..he spent a fair amount of time talking about his plan for next year (walking to mexico with maxx) and some other stuff out of the blue heh, I seriously I want to do a character study of him...he just seems so...happy
i want to get into his head. he isnt the person he pretends to be, well at least not entirely, and it just claws at me. i need to understand him before he starts walking to mexico, which is going to be a difficult task because he generally avoids conversation with me. i think i make him nervous with my questions and historical anecdotes. like how i told him about that female pope who pretended to be male and was stoned to death, a story which i only told so i could explain how they made the pope sit on a chair with a hole in the bottom after that so someone could reach under and check that it wasnt a chick pope. sigh. at least nyssa likes talking to me and just giggles at my stories:)
I enjoyed that.lendlFebruary 18 2006, 16:30:28 UTC
That was interesting but I don't agree with everything that you said. I don't mean to sound like a tight ass or anything, it's just friendly conversation (this would be better in a "real" conversation though)
Firstly, I don't agree with "life to the fullest = childhood memory." I get most of my "life to the fullest" ideas from the present or future. ie. what do I need/want to accomplish at this moment or in the near future?
Secondly, "if you think you can jump from nice car to promotion to big screen tv to mansion to success to retirement without slipping once, then go for it. by all means." I don't understand how that is happiness. It consists mostly of material things.
Thirdly, I like this method of conducting your journal. It makes things more fun.
great reply too :)lendlFebruary 19 2006, 07:46:29 UTC
"when i think of what other people want its mostly the big expensive stuff they crave. part of my cynicism i suppose." ...though you don't know me, what I want is non-material as well, hehe :P so maybe there is a bit of cynicism.
