yo la tengo was so great last night. they played in the sanctuary of the first unitarian church which in itself was really neat because sam and i were in one of the front and center pews. i knew a little bit about the way the show was to be formatted but i didn't know audience members would be generating the conversation and setlist. i should have requested something because there certainly were some songs i really wanted to hear that weren't played. but most of the songs that were played were really great, and it was interesting to hear yo la tengo respond to the audience's questions. this is sort of unrelated but it kind of surprising to me that there were so many older adults there, like in their forties and fifties. but only kind of surprising because yo la tengo has been around for like twenty years.

the ride home was fun too. i'm not really looking forward to going back to school at all. i just want to stay here and have nice times.
