So I finally grew some balls, and took her out on a real type date, and it was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. She's bright, she's funny, she's god-damned beautiful and she's got a fucking boyfriend. Granted, what little I heard, he's a great big douche-bag of a boyfriend, but still.
I didn't know what to say to her when she told me. I don't think she meant it to happen, it just.. did. She wasn't expecting it, and Merlin, I damn sure wasn't either, but nothing could have prepared me for how soft she was, and how good she smelled.
And no you slimeballs, I didn't sleep with her, so get your minds out of the gutter. She's better than that, and I'll treat her accordingly.

I thought for once, you know, maybe this could be the start of something really great, because when I'm with her, things start to look good again. That same painting I used to stare at every day that used to make me feel like I would be alone forever.. when she was standing there next to me, it became something beautiful and hopeful, instead of a message of infinate bachelorhood.
So now I'm lost. She's fantastic and compelling and all I want when I'm with her is more. I can't just not talk to her now. So I guess I will continue on as she wants me to, eh? We can be friends..if she wants. I just want to be around her, close or far.

So I escaped to the lake because I wanted to broodthink where I couldn't hear her, and ran into Tape. She had a few cross words for me about my choice of ...well, yeah, but otherwise, her company was much enjoyed, but explain this to me. Out of all the female friends I have, why can't they all get along?
