I think we should all go back to OpenDiary, just to shake things up.
So I graduated. From college. I mean I did technically back in December, but the commencement was Saturday morning. It felt good to go. I didn't know anyone there except Larry and my family, but it was still good closure.
My mom made an observation about Justin that explains a lot to me about our connection. She said that he always has things under control. He had the seats saved at graduation, had the camera loaded and ready, knew where to tell people to go, got me there early and took me out to brunch afterward to relax before a long day. He always has everything taken care of, and that might be what sets him apart to me most. I've never fully trusted anyone to be that person, the person to give me a break from being the one in control, but with him it's a no brainer.
We're at six months on Friday. This, oddly, makes the longest I've ever been with one person consistently. I still wonder what our first fight will be like, and worry about how I might handle that when it happens, but it's bound to. It's not that I think we avoid confrontation by any means. We just seem to talk about everything so much that we have a good respect and understanding of each other's boundaries.
I continue to look for better paying jobs, but you know how that goes.
