it's really very hard for me to be far away from my family and san diego right now while everything i knew and grew up with is literally in flames. i am so glad that everyone i know is safe and that's what really matters, however the thought of losing the home my parents worked so very hard to own and that i grew up in and virtually everything my parents own is pretty frightening. the apartments next to my house caught fire. no word on any houses around ours. i guess the worst of it is over and there is nothing to do but wait until people can start going home. i hope there's a home to go to.
