Would you consider the Daily Show and The Colbert Report infotainment?
Maybe more political satire?

Either way, I'd settle for John Stewart's 5 minute opinion/analysis on an issue anyday. :)

I'm not sure. I'd probably class them along with This Hour Has 22 Minutes as satire, I suppose the main difference is that they don't appear on a news channel. I think that's my main beef with the other shows.

Do you like Colbert more as a host or a senior correspondent?

Both have their perks. But Colbert and Carell were my favorite senior corresponents because they were both so brilliant in so many ways.

Colbert was also the best thing about that "America" book the daily show put out.

everyone who wears a suit on tv is a total fag, not that strombolopolous isn't a fag either. the hour isn't news, it's a tabloid that shows clips of soldiers, protests and world leaders shaking hands. "this week we got hezbollah and billy talent, stick around!" give me a fucking break. the only tv personality I can handle anymore is dr. phill. seriously man, that guy's got everything by the balls.

that's so fucking true I had hot chocolate come out of my nose.

I've never seen Dr. Phil but I'd watch it if Oprah was on the show and told him that she owned him.
