It's a sure sign I have too much time on my hands when I start watching the CBC news and think the stories and programming are worth talking about.
Watching the report showing some Liberal MP acting all tough and grilling Stockwell Day about the Zaccardelli resignation. Now I don't specifically recall this guys' name, but what I do know is that I watched him cry on tv last week because Bob Rae lost. Dude don't cry where Conservatives can see you. Day was smug and didn't answer you for a reason.
Onto another CBC program now... The Hour. Now I like The Hour, and I like George Snufalupagus (Strombolopolis?, no seriously you try to spell it without going to cbc.ca/thehour) but I really don't like infotainment. Just look at CNN and the mockery they've made out the the news. And I don't mean the propaganda, I can deal with that, I mean the Nancy Graces and the Glen Becks (tubby white guy on in the evening) of the station. David Letterman makes jokes and interviews people, he doesn't package one or two serious topics into a 3 or 5 minute clip. I don't like infotainment because I'm convinced that for every person who finds it thought provoking and digs deeper in order to form an opinion, there are many more who think that they're up to speed. Up to speed with someone else's 5 minute opinion/analysis
Seriously though, crying over Bob Rae, dude you need to get off the Hill more often.
