*sigh*
The baby girl crashed this weekend, she dropped alot of weight, stopped eating and didnt looked like she touched any of her water & slept alot. That damn adrenal disease is going to get the best of her unless I do surgery or medication, which at this moment, money wise..surgery is not going to be an option. Hormones are secreted from the enlarged adrenal gland causing her to be sick the poor thing. SO I brought her to the vet on Saturday, vet basically confirmed the same thing. Just side effects of the disease unless meds or surgery happen. Its not fair that ferrets get all these diseases, its not their fault that they are inbreeded all the time and spayed and neutered really early in life causing them to be susceptable. So I got some more canned food from the vet, hand fed her that w/baby food all day on Saturday and then on Sunday again. She seems to be doing better, but not the best, she's so fragile. I'm ordering her medication from her vet specialist today...and get her on that regime. It may not be a cure but it will give her a good quality of life til the end, hopefully a couple more years anyways.
Please say a wee prayer for her..she's going to need it in the new few months.
