I decided that before I started dishing out my amazing sundae that I would lock all the doors for the night. Locking the doors makes me nervous, so I had to pee. So I crossed the house to go back to the bathroom. I instinctively ducked. And I couldn't figure out why. Then I noticed there was a bat flying around the living room. Oh, that is why my body tried to hurl me to the ground. So, now I have shut the door to the girls' hallway, and I am holed up in my room. I called Keith first. I thought I should at least warn him, and maybe if he wasn't busy he could come home and get it out. Nope, he's playing poker, but he'll be home in about an hour, hour and a half. I was supposed to call Darren before I went to bed. So I decided to call him. His mom picked up the phone. I know how much she hates bats, so I told her my tale. She told me to call the police. Evidently Auburn's police have helped her get a bat out of the house before. I'm thinking about calling the police. The only problem is that I am too afraid to go out in the living room to open the front door. Which is sad, I know. The last time there was a bat in the house, he found his way out on his own. Hmmmm. I hope this one is just as smart. And the worst part about all of this is that I don't have my amazing Sundae!
