The wedding was a smashing event. Xander looked so manly, and Maddy was a radiant bride. At the last moment Buffy and Spike decided to make it a double ceremony. They looked so right together, my heart almost burst with pride. The whole thing was just so very sweet and touching, I felt moved to ask Anya to share a hotel room with me. At first she thought I was short on cash, but I assured her it was instead that I wanted to resume our sexual relationship. She was all for it, after she had some fun at the gambling tables. She did rather well, for a novice, although I was surprised to see her so free with her hard-earned money.
We spent the night in the the Egyptian suite, lovely room, and very er...inspirational for renewing our romance. In fact, I was so taken with the hotel I sprang for rooms for everyone. Anya offered to help with her gambling winnings, but I assured her I had it covered.
We came home today. Anya didn't feel like coming into work, so I opened the shop on the late side. I noticed a few things missing or out of place, but I may have just forgotten to write down a purchase or two. No great crisis. It was a somewhat slow day, so I was able to resume research on the axe that Xander found. Such a curious object! I'm just itching to try some spells on it to see if that will yield some sort of information about it. Possibly a reveal spell like the one I used on Hansel and Gretel, show it's true nature...yes, that sounds like a very good plan!
