Buffy telephoned with some good news and bad news. Apparently Spike is not insane anymore...but it was somehow brought about by a visit from Drusilla. She hypnotized Dawn and got invited into the house; it's a wonder she wasn't killed. Actually, Buffy said that Spike stopped her from harming Dawn--and that she let him out of the basement since he's all better.
Seems she's forgotten the little detail of his chip no longer being functional. I rather think she should have waited a few days to see if he had a relapse, but it's not like anyone listens to me on these matters. She insists he's fine now. In any case, Willow did an uninvite Drusilla spell on the house, but I'd really hoped we'd seen the last of her. We shall have to be alert for any more activity from her--Buffy suspects the attack at the school this weekend is her doing.
I introduced myself to a new neighbor today while getting my mail, Miss Izzy Hicks. She makes her living tracking down difficult to find items--I must keep her in mind next time I need help finding a rare book or the like. She seems quite pleasant.
