I recieved a phone call from
Dylan yesterday, catching me up on the news from Los Angeles. Thanks to
Willow,
Angel is safely re-ensouled, but not without doing an immense amount of psychological damage first. Chief among his concerns is that Angelus threatened
Taylor in a rather twisted fashion; however, he has taken measures to protect him by having
Gabe enchant a cross. I told him it was a wise precaution, but I go back and forth in my head on the matter.
Angel is not Angelus, he is a flawed being perhaps, as are we all, but one who is attmpting to atone, and on that score deserves forgiveness. On the other hand, the demon is always present, and he has been known to backslide, and Taylor is a child, an innocent who must be protected at all cost. And frankly, there is no need whatsoever for a relationship between Angel and Taylor. As for the boys cutting off all connection with Angel...their business, I suppose. At least Dylan is going to be studying with
Wesley, they will have some assitance from Angel Investigations. Which reminds me, I should phone him at some point to see if he's made heads or tails of those scrolls.
It seems I missed
Destiny's eighteenth birthday, so I sent her some sweets and a card belatedly. Thank heavens for FTD.com!
Sorting out Uncle Reggie's financial affairs is taking longer than expected. But we got him into a rehab center--not the best one, although I've heard good things about it. Mother visits him every day, and his speech seems to be improving, so there is hope for recovery.
