Musicaltastic
I saw Les Misérables on Friday (which was AMAZING). Young Cosette and Eponine in the musical I saw were better by far than any version I heard recorded. More on that later, but let's just say that after listening to a few versions of the old school cast and the one I have seen myself, I think:
Colm Wilkinson is sooooo overrated.
I never liked his Phantom (my fave PotO cd is by far the Canadian cast). And he sings the original part of Jean Valjean in Les Mis and....I don't like it. I much preferred the guy who sang in the one I saw (Drew Sarich) as well as John Owen-Jones who did it in London for awhile.
