So there goes another week.

Mon - CAB. i sat in on an interview with a client who had a housing issue. Felt kinda good when I realised I knew what was going on! I must be learning something at Shelter.
Tue & Wed - work - nothing to report.
Thurs - Cab, then work. Getting annoyed by CAB in that there's never anyone around to help me with the training stuff when I need it. I feel like the trainer is always busy and I end up learning from either the caseworkers or Nay, the malaysian self appointed CAB dogsbody. Work - dull. Got the impression that i'm the odd one out on that shift for not understanding Urdu. Oh well.
Fri - that's today!! I was back at the prison. And we were out on the wings interviewing a few guys. They were compus mentus; no crackheads. And no lost causes, nice one. Louise and I got matching papercuts, from the extra strength Shelter headed paper. SHe spent a lot of time talking to this woman from the West Yorks Community Chaplaincy project about adopting chidren and fostering. That stuff is all really great actually.
And Louise was also saying that Shelter have a bid in for more service provision for offenders in Leeds, once they leave the prison gates. There will be one adviser position and 2 support workers. I would actually quite like to go for one of the support worker posts, but obviously will see what happens first. And see if there's a chance of working my way up to being a Senior Adviser like Louise.
So I'm over that flu, which is aceness! Also, I have got leedsfest tickets, ladyfest is coming up and dan from work is having a birthday bash next week. Annd I'm going home on the weekend of the 19th April. Which will be ace. I'm excited about getting time off work. :)
