♥hey guys...................!
As of Sunday I am back from Blue Lake and I miss it so much. i'm so happy i auditioned for it and went....it was one of the coolest things i've ever done and i made the most amazing friends!! such good times too. i'm totally going back next year...unless i go to europe w/ the international choir (wOOt!).
Here are a ton of great memories, experiences, or just crazy things that happened:
-First getting to Blue Lake and walking around w/ my parents...actually checking out girls instead of guys - I wanted to see who my future friends would be lol
-Making my grand entrance into Marek Hall for that lunch thing - it was the Bernie hall so it was small and so quiet and I totally rammed into the table where they were selling tickets for lunch because i wasn't paying attention.
-First time seeing Shad while buying my polos in the camp store - mum noticed him checking me out or w/e and got worried and gave me the "watch out for the male counselors" lecture.
-Becoming friends with Shad the next day, and trying to think of random things to buy in the camp store so i could talk to him throughout the week.
-Being vegetarian for 12 days.
-Having everyone in our cabin start to bond when i brought out my mum's caramel corn, then bringing it out again on the last day for memories sake.
-Having the ratio of girls to guys at blue lake 1.4:1.
-Discovering half of the guys at Blue Lake are gay (but make great friends!)
-Having Holly as my other half.
-Holly and I picking up southern/redneck accents and saying really random things like "tater tots" and "corn nuggets."
-Holly and I seeing this guy in choir on the very first day who had a huge butt and who kept looking at us and we thought he was dorky. Then every day we started having a bigger crush on him until we found out he was 21 and from Germany, then we were in love.
-"German butts drive me nuts!"
-Dictator Emma and her Clean Cabin frenzy and point system and taking over the cabin.
-Emma singing Rent at the top of her lungs.
-Emma putting chocolate from Becky's b-day cake all over her face, then hiding it while she wasn't looking and telling her she ate it all.
-Emma eating peanut butter with everything.
-Everything having to do with Emma because she is hilarious!
-Me chasing the squirrel.
-The "blonde guy" and the "curly-haired guy."
-Everyday the "blonde guy" and i would wave or smile b/c of that incident w/ Holly but we've never talked.
-Jon-O!
-Holly and I walking everywhere together linking arms and sat like that during concerts.
-Holly and I listening to the German boy sing "people" in his accent....and couldn't stop giggling for that whole rehearsal.
-The day it rained and Zach, Megan, people, and I had a contest to see who could last the longest out in it at the picnic table. We all won and were soaked. -Sara possibly being a bigger blonde than i was.
-Deciding to play Marco Polo right in central camp.
-After that day always hearing Zach yell "MARCO" and the whole camp yelling back POLO!
-Zach wearing Anton's fake glasses and looking exactly like Andy Dick.
-Anton telling us about the counselor Mike he had a crush on.
-Josh Angel - what a great kid.
-Getting told by people that I either looked like Melinda from the Real World, Uma Thurman, Paris Hilton, or somebody they knew from back home.
-Me fainting during choir rehearsal...Holly getting scared b/c she thought i was dying....then us laughing because she says (in a redneck accent) "You looked like u were drunk!"
-That one day after dinner i was trying to look smooth and wave good-bye to Zach and totally not looking where i was going...and I ran right into that counselor dude who then said "Tuck in your shirt!!" Then hearing that whole table or guys start laughing and Zack goes "That's my sista!" That was the hardest i've laughed in a looong time! -Zack and I being sista's.
-Me hitting my head on a beam at our meeting spot.
-Holly saying I was the most exciting person she's ever met because i've fainted, rammed my head into the beam, and ran into that counselor.
-People making fun of me because i said Theater like 'Thee-ay-ter' instead of 'Thee-i-ter'.....what's wrong with that?!?! lol
-Ryan, a.k.a Cosmo, is the funniest kid ever.
-Getting mail!
-Everybody using my make-up.
-Amanda and I always French-braiding people's hair.
-Always losing things!
-Sucking at Egyptian Ratscrew one day then kicking everyone's butt the next.
-Calling Egyptian Ratscrew "Egyptian Rhapsody" because i am a blonde.
-Everyone knowing me as the prep school kid....yeah yeah whateva
-That dorky kid who hit on Sara and i...then we start talking about how much we hate to dance and how we didn't want dates just so he wouldn't ask us! I felt bad afterwards...
-Raquel saying how she was pissed because some kid threw away her $500 bong.
-Benedict - the Austrian guy who didn't know much English so he'd say really random things....and he would recite all the new words he learned....(in a german accent) "Masturbate! Jack off! Horney! I'm so retarded!"
-Francois!!! The french guy and his amazing talent of during the arubics cube in 14 seconds! and carrying it around everywhere and taking it with him to the dance.
-Trine - the danish girl in our cabin - she was soo effing cool!
-"Skol!"
-Seeing Zack Weiber in the international choir.
-Zach and I writing notes back and forth in french and then him asking me to the dance in one :*D
-The dance being sooo much funnn, but too short!
-Holly and I dancing w/ Shad when he was trying to make it out of the crowd after selling glowsticks and then getting big hugs too.
-Winning cleanest cabin thanks to dictator Emma!!
-The Saturday night before final Sunday....before we went to bed we had a unit meeting...and our UD Sara played guitar and while she all our unit counselors sang us "Leaving On A Jet Plane." And my cabin had a huge group hug. I bawled.
-Being probably the absolute last person to get signed out on Final Sunday because my parents came at 2:15 and our concert was at 2:45.....probably the most boring time of my life lol.
-Mr Webb who I absolutely adored.
-Our choir concert went realllly well.
-After the concert taking pictures w/ my friends then they all stopped and were like OMG and i was like what then i looked and there was Zach....I didn't think he'd really come to watch our concert! That was so sweet tho :*D
-All memories with Holly.
-Saying good-bye to Holly and everyone.....totally breaking the 3-second-hug rule. -Zach putting the image of Angel and Anton in their underwear into my head.
Yeah so that's a lot! I think that just about cover's it haha.....if I forgot anything leave a comment......!
