If you want, I can ask about the internships at Phoenix City Hall, they have receptionist and data entry positions; if you don't mind that. It's not much--only 15 an hour--but its an internship. Government internships are good for your resume and its not retail or food handling.

ONLY 15 DOLLARS AN HOUR??

ONLY??

I would LOVE for you to look into that internship. I presume there's a priority application deadline? I would enter ALL THE DATA IN THE WORLD for FIFTEEN DOLLARS an hour... WOW.

thank you so much.

Yeah...but guess what I found out TODAY! Budget cuts! Frakking lightrail is eating up all the money. I might not even have a job in couple of months--either that or reduced pay; but we'll see.
And it sucks, I just got a 3% raise.

But email me a resume sometime before April and I'll take it in--Then, cross your fingers.

erp. I hope things turn out all right for you.

data entry huh... what the heck do you put on a resume for that... or is it a general "this is me" type resume as opposed to "this is what I can bring to the job" type?

General resume. This is what I've done with my life thus far. But pump it up normally like any other resume--focusing on what the job might entail. Like full time college student--do lots of papers so you have lots of typing experience and computer usage. You'd be surprised how many people there are computer illiterate. I have the one I fancied up if you want a glance.

Further investigation shows that the upcoming RIF is a PREEMPTIVE measure due to the housing market slowing down. The City expects some $75 million in decreased revenue. No home taxes, no taxes on furniture and the like.

Damnit people! Get out there and become homeowners! And fill them to the brim with crap from Ikea!
