What the hell, not that I'm complaining. Also, w00t.

Let's start with the w00t- after a three-day, multi-14-hour-day crash course, I finished my NWN editor demo today and submitted my resume to Bioware! For any of you that haven't been following this latest drama, I'm applying to Bioware's Austin offices for a writer's position. I dunno if you have a copy of NWN, but if you do you can download it from that link. It's not all that fantastic as far as full adventures go- I mean, you don't get to kill anything at all unless you go crazy on the villagers or the livestock. But, that wasn't the aim- it was focused on dialog, since that's what I'd be doing most of.

As for the job itself, I dunno man. I'm not sure what the competition looks like, so I can't say- however, I do feel confident that my dialog is on par with what's in Mass Effect. I dunno, that sounds cocky but I think there's a bit of a glass ceiling with branched dialog. I guess part of being a really good game writer is the fact that no matter how good your story arc is, you have to be able to express it JUST in that format. I don't recall many RPGs that stop and throw a bunch of text on the screen to move the story along, or insert voiced-over narratives.

Anyway, speaking of games, FUCKING FALLOUT 3 IS OUT AND I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN SCREENSHOTS WTF.

Check the reviews of Fallout3 so you know what to expect.

By the way I am glad you are writing again whatever the reason

Honestly, man? I'm going to be working on NWN in case I get an interview, so I can be better prepared. Even if not that, I'm 90 hours into Persona 3, and I expect that there's at least another 30 or 40 left. TOO MANY GAMES TO PLAY WTF.
