The best thing I'll have this year...a Biro Pen.
My new pen is ACE!
It's a fully functioning Biro pen, but on the back end it has a small working etch-a-sketch. How retro!
In other events, being Tuesday I now only have a little over a week left at work this trip, obviously good. I am very much looking forward to getting home and putting some more work into my novel - I don't write while I'm out here, I take notes of things and work plot holes and character building up at work but I don't edit the main draft here ever, because it would stress me out more than my job already does and too much stress is never a nice thing.
The Novel is something I have wanted to do since is was young. I've worked on short stories and poetry for years now (Ok, about 3 years but I'm only 19 so that is a relative chunk of my life) and decided recently to elongate them and work up a full length novel. It's a work in progress - and honestly it hasn't progressed as far as I'd have liked it too - about a boy aged 16. His parents are both dead, the mother during childbirth and the father only a matter of days before the book begins. It's about the boy's struggle to make it in the world on his own - finding out about girls, cars, jobs and taxes.
Reading that back to myself I realise it seems dull as yet though I still really like the idea and am going to continue along this wavelength.
...My grammar and vocabulary are better than they would seem through my posts...
Oooh and how could I forget, my camera arrived at my house today. I've wanted a new digital camera for a while now - I have a good camera which is for the more artistic moments that I take from time to time, this one though is more of a slip it in my coat pocket and take pictures of my friends drunk and at get togethers etc... It's a Casio Exilim EX-S500, which is 5 Mega Pixel really thin and in many ways trendy. A special reward for my working so hard last year.
...I can't tell that we are going to be friends...
