(no subject)
Since my last update, very little has progressed in terms of social life (andalltheothergoodthings) because I'm at work. I work for Shell as an Operations Technician - you don't wanna know, seriously. I work 2 weeks at a time 300 nautical miles North East of my hometown (that involves a helicopter and a plane journey home) which makes it difficult to get out.
+pluses, plenty of time during my time off to read/listen to music/watch movies.
+Detox from Alcohol for two weeks.
-minuses, being away from familyslashfriends with little contact.
-missing out on fun things going on at home.
-how life goes on without you.
I don't really enjoy my job as such, I don't mind it and could do it happily for years to come but I'm always keeping an eye out for a new opportunity onshore that would allow me to leave here and be home more full-time. The money's good out here though and I would like to get a house/car/important life changing stuff purchased before I give this up.
***OK, post over with just this to add. Being as I have so much free time on my hands, I've been browsing through El Jay looking for people to correspond with about the world and people in it. Don't worry, I'm a nice guy and won't bite. Promise.***
