Yo-Yo has been doing poorly the last few days. He stopped eating kibble, but would eat the wet food really well. He occasionally acted like he had trouble swallowing, though. So I just thought it was trouble breathing as his heart has been going and fluid would build up around the lungs. So I stopped scaling back on his diuretic, but he only got worse.
I took him to the vet today and it wasn't his heart that was the problem. His heart and lungs were doing great. But he had lymphoma on top of everything, which was why he had trouble swallowing.
The treatment for lymphoma is hard on the heart, so the vet agreed that putting him down is best.
We decided not to cremate him as the money would be better spent on our living pets. We're going to bury him next to the rats in our little pet cemetery when Bryce gets home.
I have some more pictures that need developing. They are of him not using his wheelchair. :)
