I stand near the back of the bar as I watched them hunt. Their methods were old and classic, and more or less hardly ever used by others. The room was full of smoke and the smell of whiskey overshadowed it. My eye's stayed locked on them, with each gesture they took. They were out for blood, but they seemed as though it was a big game. I was out, walking the streets of LA, slaying as I went along. I had only slayed about 5 vamps tonight, I thought it would be more active. But it isn't Sunnydale. Sunnydale's over the hellmouth, so of course it would be more active than LA.

As I came around the corner, I heard noises in the alley. Pulling out a stake, I braced myself if they were vamps. When I came into the alley, I saw the vamps, but also Angel was there. I leaned against the wall and just watched. He had this totally under control.

After looking up, I saw her just standing there against the wall. I smiled as I walked up closer to her. My eye's focused on the stake that she had gripped in her hand. I looked over body to make sure she wasn't injured, who knew if Her night had been more active than mine.

"Anything happen while I was gone?"

I asked wondering what she had been up too. The time that we've spent together this summer was more than amazing, I've grown to really enjoy her company. I took my arms out as I embraced her with a hug and I kissed her forehead. If anything serious happened she'd let me know. Things haven't been so active here I had to admit I was starting to miss the hellmouth.

I just smiled as he came up to me, noticing the stake I had tightly gripped in my hand. I let him pull me into his arms, and I breathed in his sweet, familiar scent. I pulled out from his hug, and looked up at him. I raised myself up onto my tip toes to gently kiss him.

"Nothing real exciting. It was pretty boring. A couple vamps, but they were no fun. I had them dusted in less than 30 seconds. I smiled. Sunnydale was always active.

I started to walk out of the alley, taking his hand in mine.

I put my hand on the back of her as I lips met. Enjoying the moment was always good until of course we had to go back to work. I could honestly believe her when she said dusted in thirty seconds, with the vamps I've seen thirty seconds seemed like more than enough time to get rid of them.

I started to think of where should we go now, I've already been a couple of places throughout the night and she has probably covered the docks. I was about to give up hope on anything more special tonight.

"Anywhere else you think we should go?"

I asked, hoping that she would even suggest going home. Then my hopes started to vanish as six more vampires surrounded us in the alley. I again threw my arms to the side, and both stakes flew into my hands.

"Well I guess we could always take care of them first, ready?"

I was just about to reply when I noticed the six more vamps that had just surrounded us. I smiled though as I saw the stakes appear in his hands once again. I firmly gripped my stake as I turned to face the vamps. Oh, this would be too easy.

"Ready when you are." A tall vampire ran at me, I quickly dodged it, and kicked him hard to the back, so he was up against the wall. I staked him real hard in the back, and he was a cloud of dust in seconds.

"One down, five more to go." I said looking at Angel.

I watched as she took the first one down, she was so good at this. Two of them immediately came at my way, the first one tackled to me to the ground as the other stomped on me. These vamps really need to start getting original. I kicked Mr. Stompy at the back of them knee and staked him as he fell to the ground next to me.

I looked over at her and smile, "Two down four to go"

This was the first time we weren't out slaying together in L.A. I had to admit, it set a nice tone. I flipped myself forward and landed on my feet. I grabbed the other vamp by the shoulder and pushed him into my stake...

"That's three.."

I smiled as he dusted another one. "Good Job." I said that just as another vamp came at me. I spun into a high kick, and he flew into the opposite wall. Then, I ran up and staked him hard in the chest. Dust. I got some in my eye though. Yuck. Turning to see if Angel was alright, I smiled when I saw him fighting with two at once. He was so good.

Then, I did a backflip just as another vamp was coming at me from behind. Gotta love those slayer senses. I hit him in the head, and he fell backwards, just in time for me to get up and stake him.

After Angel dusted those two other ones, we were done.

"Wheew. That was exciting. First in a long time." I put my stake back inside my pocket and then I took his hand in mine."

Walking through the alley was more comfortable having her around. Although they never really did bug me before but I could tell a slight difference. I stopped for a moment and then turned to her. I smiled then pull her hand up to my face. I gently kissed the back of her hand and made my way up arm.

I again pressed my lips against her, this time making it last longer than before. I put both my hands on her face as I gently kiss her. I pull back just so I could see the moon shimmer in her eyes,

"I have to admit this is more exciting.." I smiled once more then wrapped her in my arms.

I knew we had to go back home soon, the sun was due up in a couple hours and I was almost a bit tired. I could tell she was almost as well. A strand of her hair fell on her face, I gently took one finger and guided it back behind her ear.

"Are you ready to go home?"

I stopped when he did, and he kissed my hand. I smiled as he went up my arm and then kissed me. I kissed him back, realizing how much I've missed him. Even when we haven't even been apart that long. I let him fold me into his arms, and I sighed deeply, just letting him hold me. I wanted to stay that way forever.

"This is more exciting." I said, looking up at his face.

"Yeah, we can go home now. I think I'm done slaying for one night. You ready?"

We continued onto our way home which wasn't too far but it felt like it was. I was ready to be home, I had to admit I was even getting a little tired. I also wasn't sure if there was any more slaying to actually do tonight. I simply smile,

"Yeah I'm ready..."
