I stand near the back of the bar as I watched them hunt. Their methods were old and classic, and more or less hardly ever used by others. The room was full of smoke and the smell of whiskey overshadowed it. My eye's stayed locked on them, with each gesture they took. They were out for blood, but they seemed as though it was a big game. Not everyone goes for the game, and the ones that do tend to be more experienced.
The hard part however, is to get the prey to follow along. This bar was full of easy targets, as you looked around it was almost a game of clue. Would it be the Maid over at table four, the Butler behind the bar, or my favorite the Scarlet hitting on the man with money. The waitress stood infront of me blocking my view, she asked me if I wanted any thing to drink and politely declined.
I watched the door to make sure they hadn't already made their escape, they hadn't and I was again left alone. I took a peanut out of the small basket it. As I chewed them I found them a bit stale and salty, I spit them out on the floor where so many laid.
As my attention focused on them again, they had found their prey. In the end they had chosen the two blond girls at the pool table. Should've known they weren't that professional, but they did still have some tricks I hadn't seen before. Tricks that even I might not have heard of or done before. With a couple whispers between ears the girls start to follow them out the door. I stayed behind a bit as not to show myself.
I followed as the voices were loud, mainly the girls were drunk and I could smell the liquor on them. A few blocks away I found them hidden in an alleyway. I slowly walked up to them, they noticed fairly quickly that I was there. I looked at the two of them, and got as close as I could. They had their hands firmly on the girls necks so I had to be a little cautious,
"Do any of you know where first street is?"
Okay so it was a stupid question, I felt my face change as they both headed after me. I threw both of my hands to my side and pulled the trigger to release the stakes. The first one jumped after me, he was no fun as I slowly point the stake to his heart and dusted him. The second one posed as a challenge. I dodged the first couple of punches but a few of them actually made there way to my face. I blocked the last and head butted him out of the way. He charged one more, and again with a point of a stake he was sent flying out of the picture.
The girls stood there crying, I could feel the worry in there eyes. I backed away as my face slowly started to come back. I stayed at a far distance from then, hoping that they would head out for safety.
"You should go home now, you're safe."
I replied as I watch then slowly leave the ally. After They turned the corner, I had started to make my way through the ally and away from everyone. I had places to be, people to save the whole package and tonight was just the start. I wondered if she would pop up at any moment, for all I knew she was out slaying herself.
