My boss is on vacation. Busy doesn't even begin to cover it my mind is so scrambled. I'm only attempting to LJ to get 5 minutes of sanity and my flist was making my eye twitch. Plus it's like August hot - and because the boss is gone I'm having to go in and out of the air conditioning all day so my sinuses are having an absolute blast. Meh.
The thing that made me want to post was because I remembered that Ben and I watched
Alpha Dog the other night on HBO and noticed a glaring issue that like totally threw the whole movie off for me (which is unfortunate because it was otherwise quite entertaining). They posted a time line of events starting with the day 'Friday, November 6, 1999'. The problem is that isn't the real day. November 6, 1999 was a Saturday. How do I know? Well, it was my wedding day, that's how I know. Are you telling me that from script to editing no one even thought to look on a
perpetual calendar? I know it was fiction, but if you are using real dates (along with days of the week) in the resent past don't details matter at all? Not quite as bad as "Donnie Darko" trying for an 80's flick without a perm in site, but still...
For my new QaF friends on my list, I am clipping the entire history of Brian and Justin. All 5 seasons should be finished by the beginning of next week. I will probably load links to them all here and then offer them up to a site owner or something. Like I've said before - I'm paying for the massive bandwidth on my site so I might as well use it. Next I just need to get off my rear and load some ebooks (I have thousands) and music (even if my collection is somewhat crappy and boring).
