And here is the second part. This one is basically some real life, some fun stuff and just general randomness.

These quizzes are awesome! Take a few and have a little fun. I learned some things about myself such as: 1. "On average, your blog posts are around 1765 words in length. This is 347 percent longer than other bloggers who took this test" - so yeah, I don't just think I babble, now I have proof! 2. My body could successfully feed 10 cannibals. *gulp* 3. Supposedly I can 'take' 23 5 year olds in a fight. HA! They must not be like Brady Crouch - or maybe my kid is super or something. *shrug* 4. I have a 69% chance of surviving a Zombie Apocalypse. Woot! See, fun stuff!
-- I swear that I will make a Busch Gardens/Vacay post at some point (in 2006 I think it took me about 2 months to do it, oh well), but if are really curious in seeing the pretty, pretty animals I have already loaded the sized down pictures in my Photobucket
here. Commentary might be August getting here knowing me.
-- I still love the Twilight books - they are totally my crack and Edward Cullen is just awesome. But the fandom? Not really that much anymore. I have taken all but a few of my TWL groups off my flist and yet daily I am still basically filled to the brim with posts. I mean, I just want to keep up with the movie and book news and such and it like has just gotten a bit insane in post volume. I know a few of the people on my flist feel the same way, what about the rest of you? Do you love the book but the fandom driving you a bit bonkers? Share.
-- Why aren't we getting basically any promo pictures or trailers or anything on the "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince" movie yet? Am I crazy or did the buzz and stuff start alot earlier with the last 2 movies than this? "Twilight", which is coming out 2 weeks later has tons of buzz already. Now I know not even the TWL fandom will come close to HP at the box office, but come on. I WANT!
-- Queer as Folk fanfic reading is eating up my reading time. Has been for the past 6 months. (Yes, I know I said this in my TV post - be patient, I have a point!) I have had the new Black Dagger Brotherhood book
Lover Enshrined since last Wednesday and haven't opened it yet. (Mind you we were out of town this weekend as well) I do plan on reading it this weekend because my MIL wants to borrow it and I'll be damn if she reads my book before I do. In July I will be rereading the Twilight series in it's entirety gearing up for
Breaking Dawn comes out the first week of August. Plus there is at least 15 more books and ebooks I am wanting/needing to read. The problem I have is when I get into obsession mode I go all out. Not that I can't multi-fandom jump, but not without taking a bit of that obsessive edge off my 'thing' of the moment. And the truth is, I don't want to get un-obsessed with Brian Kinney or Justin Taylor. I like them in the forefront of my mind right now. TV watching is different and doesn't really play by the same rules, but when I read I just get to a different level involved which is why I love me some epic and long fanfic. I've been threw this before and the only thing I can compare it to is that it feels like someone is asking me to tell my steady boyfriend I want to take a break so I can go on a date with someone else. But I love my steady. I really don't want to take a break - but the other guy is hot and what would he be like - you know? And my mind doesn't want to cheat. Guh! See, I told you I was batshit crazy.
-- For the record I will not be talking or thinking about politics or this farce of a presidential election here or commenting in other journals unless really motivated to raise my blood pressure. Just wanted to get that out in the open right away.
-- Things around my house and family:
- Megan is at the University of Alabama this week at their gymnastics camp. She is having a ball. She is rooming with another girl from our gym who she is friends with and before we left her there Sunday she had already hooked up with her roommate from last year as well. They are staying in a very nice modern dorm this year, one with suite rooms and TV lounges on every floor with 42" flat screen TV and leather furniture. Seriously, it is awesome. I'm kinda jealous. I go back and pick her up (4 hours each way mind you) Thursday and then Friday she is getting a ride with some of her step-moms family up to my exes house in Arkansas. She won't be back until the weekend after the 4th of July. At first they weren't leaving until Sunday but of course my exes wife calls me when we are on our way home Sunday to tell me her aunt and grandmother are leaving Friday because they want to be there for Saturday to watch her kid play softball. Whatever. I am not very happy about this change at all. Now she will miss another one of our gymnastics practices (more to make up in July. As it is she will be there about 15 hours a week the whole month) and I don't get adequate time to visit post camp. The exes wife was like 'Well you have her all the time' - you know what? FUCK YOU! She is my kid and I want her all the time. I am not the one who moved to the other side of the world and then moved back after 5 years and moved away from ALL of the family to somewhere random 7 hours away! JESUS! Part of me just wants to call her and say 'You know what. Fuck convince. You want Megan for your weeks in the summer the papers say you get - YOU COME PICK HER UP! I'm not meeting you half way. I'm not making it easy on you. I'm not being the nice guy or even the decent guy. Just fuck it'. *deep breaths* Yeah, I'm not too happy about it.
- We packed the car up and went to the farm south of Tuscaloosa this weekend and then left from there and took her to camp. It was hot and boring and the kids were infuriating for the most part. I had planned on reading the above mentioned BDB book there, but oh no. I got exactly no peace at all. But it was good to spend time with Ben's Dad and step-mom and I enjoyed that aspect of it at least.
- Brady graduated from 4 year old kindergarten (he is 5 now) weekend before last and so we had ceremonies and a party and all to go to for that. He is getting so big and I'll be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready for my baby to go to big kids school next year.
- Our cat had kittens - 5 of them. We now have 9 cats in the house. Yeah, I'm totally fucked. Want a kitten?
- Work is crazy. It is hot. Gas prices are killing me!!!
Okay, thats all the damage I got for today. My fingers are sore.
