Subject. What subject?

I'm so far behind I'm just going to jump right in with the bullets and just go with the flow.

- 6 weeks until vacay and I have so much to do it's not even funny. The diet isn't going so good - I might actually have to exercise *grumbles* to lose my little pot belly. I had to buy a pair of size 6 jeans last week at The Gap. First pair of 6's (I have a few slacks but jeans are just different) I've had since the inception of low rise into my wardrobe. I'm so not happy about it it's disgusting. I have appointments for both the dentist and the eye doctor in the next few weeks and I'm still long overdue for a hair cut (I haven't had one since April of last year) and need to schedule that as well. Also have the last 2 gymnastics meets of the year for Megan, this weekend and March 7-9 (the state meet). So yeah, my life = teh crazy. But no more so than anyone else so I'll just keep my mouth shut. I'm still reading QaF Brian/Justin fanfic to keep me sane after all of my charges are put to bed late at night and it keeps me balanced. Yes, smut balances me. I know I'm not right in the head. *rolls eyes*

- I take it everyone has seen the official "Twilight"/Cullen family early promo pictures from the movie posted this morning (considering the lj explosion). At first I thought it was more fanart considering I'm about thisclose to dropping some of my Twilight lj sites as friends because the spam of movie art is really starting to annoy me. Not that I don't love TWL any more than I ever did - but seriously, there is just so much of this movie babble I can take, especially when I'm still so skeptical about the outcome. These new official pictures softened some of my fears and made some of them worse. So all in all I'm feeling kinda *meh* about it all from a fangirl standpoint.

- In other awesome news, Taylor Kitsch is set to play Gambit in the new "X Men Origins: Wolverine" film and signed a 3 picture deal to boot! So happy for him and he totally deserves it. I remember back when they were still casting "X-Men: The Last Stand" and people were speculating about the if Gambit would be featured in that movie and wanting Josh Holloway from Lost to get the role (There is also alot of comments on that in the above link as well). That would have been fantastic as well - but Taylor... ummmm hmmmm. Yummy. Now I must research me some X-Men!

- The writers strike is over, but this season is still in some crazy kind of limbo. Right now I'm just praying that Friday Night Lights gets renewed (I'm still not worried about Supernatural in the least - I don't give The CW alot of credit for having brains, but if they are seriously stupid enough to piss of that fandom I truly will have to pity them) and the rest of my favorite shows like SPN and Lost get put back on track with the shortened season. For the past month or so I've been in the mindset of "I'll take what I can get" with my shows. Now, just 2 days away from my last SPN for a few months and FNL being over already I must admit I'm a bit lost. It's February for Chrissake. I should be in TV heaven. Instead it feels like purgatory.

- I won't spoil anyone on Lost - and honestly I'm still formulation thoughts about the first 3 episodes that sent my mind in a tailspin - but they were all 3 just wickedly good. Lost remains at the top of the heap for me as far as quality, storytelling and just pure entertainment. (Of course both BSG and FNL are also beyond excellent and SPN is so underrated by the general population that it's not even funny - but I digress) Of the first 3 episodes it's easy to say that last weeks episode 4.03 - "The Economist" was my favorite - but then again, anytime I get Skate smoop and a mostly naked Naveen Andrews it's kind of a win-win for me. I think this was easily my favorite Sayid episode to date and seeing as how he has always been one of my favorite characters it's about damn time he got a truly awesome showcase. (The nudity didn't add to this opinion in the least. No way. *blinks*) This week we get a Kate episode and Skate sex, so yeah I'm basically in heaven.

- Supernatural - where to even start? This weekend I need to marathon this whole season and really get a grip on where my head is. Last week was lighter and most definitely funnier than I expected (with Dean dying repeatedly, and being a rabid Deangirl I was quite worried going in for my emotional well being) but then when we got to the Wednesday and Sammy went all - just OMG, dark and, well, Jared killed me. Just blew me away. And then the hug! *dies* Last season was pretty filled with Dean angst and this year we have gotten a full dose of the Sammy angst as well. I still think Jensen pulls it off a bit better, but what Jared is doing with Sam this year just reinforces my faith in this show. They continue to be the best duo on TV IMHO. It's just hard to beat Winchesters.

- I have been watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals and I must say I'm intrigued. Summer Glau is excellent - although she is basically playing River Tam as a robot instead of a futuristic supergifted human - but I can deal with that. I miss everything Firefly/"Serenity" just that much. But the show itself is better than I thought it would be as a whole and I look forward to see where all it can go. Last nights episode brought up all of my initial Terminator canon problems though - how can the future John Connor have sent his father back when without his father he wouldn't have been born? I just have a hard time with time travel in fiction when consequences come before actions. It confuses me to no end.

vacay, dieting ucks!, edward cullen!!!, jensen ackles, lost, queer as folk, dean winchester, friday night lights, britin, supernatural, jared padalecki, twilight, taylor kitsch
