Bad Daddy Day!

Happy 29th Birthday j_mac179!

Enjoy the last year you will ever feel young. *snickers* And have a blast on your birthday weekend enough for the both of us. As you know I am more than envious of you going to the FX 2008 and getting to meet one of my favorite celebrities on the planet Nathan Fillion - but since I have been MIA here at LJ many other people have missed our private convos that have consisted of me queening out over the matter. Believe me, drama has been abundant. But if I'm going to harbor fandom jealousy toward someone it might as well be Jeff since I have basically have been in that state to some degree since we met and became friends almost 5 years ago.

I promise my flist that I have been meaning to come out of my hibernation and posting for a while, but honestly work has been horrendous this month. I can't even begin to go into how busy we have been. Then there is the problem of being so far behind and out of the loop that I don't even know where to start. I promise I plan on being much better in the weeks to come and get back into my flow of at least posting once a week if not more. There actually is quite a bit I would love to carry on about - so much so that my first few post should remind everyone how very random and full of word vomit I can be. Again, I apologize and I promise to do better.

But back to my Bad Daddy. Now I must make him blush as I love to do and this year I'm going to make a list of the Top 10 Reasons I Love j_mac179!: *beams*

*ahem*

10. He is wicked smart. Like one of the smartest people I have ever met. And not just book smarts either - he's the whole package. I just find men who can talk at great lengths about matters of geekdom with passion to be heinously sexy. And since he can do that like NOONE I have ever met - male of female - then yeah - sexy as sin to me. (Figured I'd get the blush going good to start)
9. He owns The Pimp Palace and lets me come and share my weeks vacation (check my tags under 'vacay' for lowdown and photographic delights) away from everything real in my life with him there every year. It is my week in geek heaven. This year will be the 4th year - and I just bought my plane tickets yesterday. ;D April 4 - April 13 I will be lazing around the palace doing the nerdiest things possible - which most likely will be me and Jeff laying around most of the week marathoning shit we have already seen a dozen times. 10 weeks and counting!
8. He was born the day after Dean Winchester, same year (happy belated b-day Dean! *licks*) - which in my crazy and warped brain means way more than it should. I got so excited when Dean's birthday revealed this to me that I almost had a meltdown.
7. He lets me call him when fandom bites back and also when I want to rant, rave, cry or wibble. We have had many infamous conversations as credits have rolled, as well as, outside movie theaters while I squeed over "Serenity" or "Star Wars" or the like. I talked him down after he met Kristen Bell last year at the above mentioned FX Show - but usually it's me doing the melting down. I usually call him hysterical needing to talk to him right this minute! at least 3 or 4 times during a TV season. We still laugh about a few of them - the most famous being after the Alias S4 finale in May of 2005 (further outlined in this post's #5 and it's comments) - that shit was off the wall insane.
6. We couldn't be more different in so many ways, I honestly have less in common with Jeff on paper (political, personal history, etc) than any other person I consider a real friend. BUT, none of that matters. We respect each other and very much enjoy the things we do have in common. Basically we can be ourselves in a way that is liberating with each other - we can be a little silly or nuts and let the very real life pressures and expectations of ourselves just fall away when we are together.
5. He knows I'm crazy and puts up with my obsessions, fandom and otherwise, without thinking I'm unhinged even a little bit. Well, that might be a stretch - but he takes it in stride anyway.
4. He is a fantastic man. Forget about fandom, Jeff is just a totally awesome dude, and probably the best male friend I have had in my life. He's not only smart, but also kind and considerate - one of the few men I know who I can honestly say was raised very well. He is hot - tall (6'5" - ish), works out and it shows, gorgeous blue eyes (are you listening any single ladies out there!). Honestly I will never understand why the female population of Orlando, FL aren't snapping him up. God knows if I were single and felt worthy of him it wouldn't even be an issue. Whoever ends up capturing his heart will be one of the luckiest women I will ever meet and I plan on letting whomever she is know that as I grill her to make sure she is good enough for him.
3. He loves me back. He cares about my opinion even if he doesn't agree with me. He actually cares about my pathetic problems and my family and always makes sure to ask about things that most men, even men I am related too, could care less about.
2. He spoils me with fandom swag. He spoils me period. He's really great about the spoiling.
1. He is my fandom soul mate. That is really the only way I know how to describe it. He completes me.

*gives 1000 birthday kisses to my one and only Bad Daddy*
