It's kinda sad

Do you know that I technically wake up an hour earlier than I have to every week day...just so I can come to school to use the computer lab?

It's not something I really have to do. I think it’s partly due to my addition to the internet...and partly an exercise I'm doing to get ready for the rest of the semester. As much as I would like to believe I'm going to get away with minimal homework assignments and tons of free time...I know better.

Every day is a reminder that we're getting further behind in senior design. I really don't want a repeat of last semester's stress levels.

Other than that school has been fairly tame. All my homework assignments have been coming one at a time and none of them have taken an exceptionally long period of time. *knocks on the desk* I don't think I even have my first test until late next month.

What's interesting is the manner in which I'm dealing with my newly found free time. It's a weird feeling to get out of class and not have to go right to doing homework for 6 hours. It's even weirder not to have two assignments to do a day and a lab write-up that's always looming.

On Monday and Friday I have a class from 12:00-12:50 and a class from 1:00-1:50. On Wednesday I have the same two classes but I also have a night class from 6:00-8:30 (it's supposed to be 9:00 but the teacher says the last 30min is wasted time). Even though tonight is my "long night"...I'm not as upset as I was last semester. The only thing I have due tomorrow is a reading assignment. The grad classes are still a pain though. There's nothing worse than having to sit and listen to the same teacher teaching the same subject for almost 3 hours straight. I can't wait for next semester when I'll have one on Monday AND Wednesday.

On Tuesday and Thursday I technically only have one class from 10:50-12:05. Every other Thursday or so we're supposed to have a Senior Design lecture from "3:05-whenever they get done". They don't want us to meet as much...I can't say that bothers me.

I know I got a little off topic. I was trying to talk about what I've been doing with my free time. For one thing...a lot of WoW. Like I said in my last entry I hit 60 over the break. In my long-winded entry before that I described my options for "end game". I've pretty much told the world to fuck off and I've been playing my little feral druid. It's kind of nice having my computer over at the guy's...not just for the faster connection...but also for the fact we play together a lot more now.

Speaking of my computer...I know some of you are saddened over the fact I haven't been able to put up my "essay-length" away messages every morning. For the moment though I haven't been able to justify taking my computer back to my apartment. Having it over there allows me to have access to high speed internet, access to LAN gaming, access to any game the guys happen to buy or crack, and something to do when I get bored over there. I'm free to check my comics, LJ, facebook, and e-mail here in the engineering building before and after classes. If I happen to miss them here there's nothing stopping me from checking them there.

I'll admit that I'm a little harder to get a hold of...simply because I'm on the computer less and when I am on I'm usually playing a game. Chances are though that if you msg me on AIM I will get back to you. The only times I won't is if I see your message too late at night or when I'm doing something in WoW that won't allow me to alt-tab out and talk.

Then there's the chance I'm just not there. My computer is on a little table in the living room of the guy's place. You would be surprised how many times people bump into it and un-idle my comp.

I forgot to mention I got a webcam for Christmas...so if anyone wants to do a video conversation send me a msg. =P As always...anyone who has my phone number should feel free to give me a ring or send me a text. If you don't have it then just ask. ^_^; I really don't care who knows my cell #...just as long as I know who they are.

Once again...I have to go get ready for my 12:00 class.
