I hate the engineering school.
I'm sitting here in a computer lab...I've already been here for over an hour. I'm tired, I'm cold, and I'm bored off my ass. I just want to go home.
The pain for senior design had just let off before new pain came crashing down in the form of all my other classes.
I sacrificed yet another weekend to do a group project, a group presentation, write a paper, and study for an exam.
I gave the presentation this morning...it was pretty shitty but so were the other ones. It's funny watching the Juniors and Sophomores that are taking Engineering Economy early...they still care so much about the stupidest assignments. I was the same way though...
I also took my second communications exam...that was fun. It really wasn't as hard as it could have been but that doesn't mean I got a 100 on it. To be honest I roared through it and finished my first go through with 30min left in the 75min period. I did another run through...caught a couple mistakes and left 15min early anyway. I just wanted to get out of there.
I _should_ have been able to go home when I got out of there. It seems that the professors running senior design feel the need to make us stick around until 3:00 though. -_- So here I sit...waiting.
I really do want to get home. This is the longest I've ever been away in one spurt. It's been a little less than 2 months I think. It doesn't seem like a long time...until you start trying to remember the last time you were there.
There's no shortage of things to keep me busy. I'm hanging out with Amanda tonight because she'll be leaving for Thanksgiving somewhere else tomorrow. Wednesday I might go up to Savannah to see Rent with Lauren and do some Christmas shopping (that's still in the planning stages...). Thursday of course is Thanksgiving. Friday I might have to track down some Muslims to do my field project for World Religions. I'm actually considering going back to school on Saturday.
I have a comp arch assignment due Monday. I have to turn in "Test Plans" for senior design on Tuesday(that's going to be explained to us today at 3:00 I guess...). I have a project due in my graduate class Wednesday that I have no idea how to do. I have to give a presentation in my world reilgions class Wednesday on a topic that eludes me at the moment. I have Economy homework due...on Tuesday I think. Communications homework due Thursday. To top it all off that field project is due Friday (it includes a 4 page written summary). If I can't find Muslims at home I'll have to try here in Macon when I get back.
The last week of school will not be any fun at all. Supposedly Becca and I are going to try to coordinate a Soul Calibur day two Saturdays from now. After that we have two days of classes...and then a week of finals.
I've been aching for this semester to end...I can't wait for Christmas break.
Sorry if this seems a tad depressing. I promise I'll seem MUCH better in about 3 weeks. Besides...I'm not really depressed...just very very _tired_. -_-
