the day after
well it's the day after katrina visited the gulf coast. i am still in alabama/georgia waiting to see what to do. we have heard horror stories from back home. the picayune hospital was destroyed, homes now have tree's implanted in them, and nobody can get through. Nobody is being allowed into or out of NO right now. talking to people i can get through to in hattiesburg. roofs are gone, apartment buildings are crushed, no street lights, various other damages, the roads are not drivable. this has got to be the hardest part of this. to wait till we can go home and see what's left. see if we are one of the lucky ones, or if nothing came out. this is now the time where i'm just looking for my friends.. the ones who stayed, and the one's who've left. Looking to see were they are, how they are, and just let them know the same with me. most communication back home has been destroyed. cell phones are only barely working, and land based lines are gone. they are without power, and water. i'm worried for them and each of us traveling back home. i hope you guys are all alright.
